MULE ASSIST TO SPRINGFIELD F.D.

11/4/08- LCFC was dispatched to assist Springfield F.D. with the mule and rescue trailer today. The call came in this morning to assist on an injured person off the roadway in a wooded area on Route 5 near Route 20. U566 and the mule responded. Crew arrived on scene and unloaded the mule and rescue trailer. Mule responded to the incident scene, approximately 1000 feet from the roadway. Crew found a patient with injuries due to a tree kicking back on them. Patient was packaged and loaded onto rescue trailer, then transported to Squad 647. Squad 647 transported patient to the hospital.
